Governor Janet Mills held her 5th Annual Opioid Response Summit on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at the Cross Insurance Arena In Portland. This year's theme: The Power of Prevention, Focus on Families. There were over 1000 people in attendance and the day included keynote speakers and breakout sessions, with the voices of persons in recovery featured prominently again this year.

Governor Janet Mills convened Maine's fifth annual opioid response summit on Thursday, in Portland’s Cross Insurance Arena, bringing together 1,400 policymakers and the recovery community to curb an epidemic that costs the state a dozen lives every week and hundreds of lives every year.
