AdCare Educational Institute of Maine, Inc., is pleased to announce Erin Burnett as the new Director of the organization.  Erin will be taking the helm as departing Director, Scott Gagnon, moves on to SAMHSA as the Regional Director covering New England.

Erin brings a wealth of experience to the Director role for AdCare Maine.  She has been with the organization for 10 years, starting as a Training Project Coordinator working her way up to the Director of AdCare’s New England Prevention Technology Transfer Center program.  Erin has been instrumental in the development of many AdCare Maine programs, including the coordination of annual Maine prevention conferences, coordination of the Maine Gambling Treatment Reimbursement Network, delivery of technical assistance for the Student Intervention and Reintegration Program (SIRP), and administration of the Maine Prevention Certification Board.  Erin played a crucial role in building a prevention training and technical assistance team that now boasts five full-time staff across two programs.

In her six years as the Co-Director and now Director of the New England PTTC, Erin has led and co-led many regional and national prevention technical assistance programs. Along with Co-Director Sarah Johnson, she developed and launched the New England Prevention Mentorship program. She was Chair of a national prevention workforce development workgroup that coordinated major updates to core prevention skills curricula including SAPST and Prevention Ethics.  She also co-chaired a national workgroup which created the training curriculum for SAMHSA’s PTTC Network Building Our Leadership in Diversity Fellowship Program.
