AdCare Educational Institute of Maine, Inc., continues to monitor the quickly evolving developments related to COVID-19. AdCare Maine continues to meet internally to create contingency plans of operations that will protect the health and safety of our training participants, and our staff, while also allowing programming to continue to go forward to meet the educational and training needs of Maine’s behavioral health fields. To inform our decision-making process, we are following data and guidance from the U.S. and Maine Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization and other top public health agencies and experts. Additionally, we are following the guidance and orders coming from the Maine CDC and Governor Janet Mills. The health and safety of our trainers, participants, and staff is our top priority.
To this end, AdCare is extending its suspension of in-person trainings through the end of May. In-person trainings that were scheduled for April and May are either being re-scheduled to a later date, or transitioned into an online, webinar format.
We know that many individuals attend our trainings to acquire CEUs for licensing and credentialing purposes. Our goal is to protect your health and safety while still moving forward with training opportunities to minimize disruptions in the ability to acquire the training hours you need for your license or credential. We will continue to monitor further developments and state orders to inform any alterations we may need to make to training events for June and beyond. If there are any future alterations in trainings in those months we will issue a new letter with new guidance.
